Song of the Week: Fucked Up neat-o

“Cup of tea” and Toronto punk screamers Fucked Up are two terms that don’t go together at all, but the latter isn’t really my former. Blame it on lead singer Pink Eyes, the fulcrum point of the Polaris Prize-winning band, with a one-note raging vocal style that either uniquely defines the band or makes you turn them off. “Neat Parts,” from an upcoming singles package on Matador Records, wins despite whatever the hell Pink Eyes is singing, because of a guitar riff that truly rocks. Moshers rejoice!
