Song of the Week: Thom Yorke, past, present and future

I have a couple of friends who are huge Radiohead fans and I’ve taken to emailing them with news on the band when I come across it on Pitchfork and the like. Well, it seems in the last couple weeks that I’ve been emailing them every other day. There’s been a flurry of activity, some of it good (like new songs from the band and from Thom Yorke solo), some of it lousy (like news that it will be a long time before a new Radiohead album). And some of it just stunning, like the video taken from Thom’s recent solo performance at this year’s Latitude Festival in Suffolk, UK. The audio of new track “The Present Tense,” which can be downloaded below, isn’t great quality, but the song sure is. Now, who would you rather be? Thom himself or the lucky guy with front row seats shooting the video?
