Song of the Week: The Big Pink’s big choon

I would have named The Big Pink a Next Big Thing, but the BBC beat me to it. And honestly, I didn’t think much of the London-based duo based on a couple of pre-album singles (“Velvet,” “Too Much to Love”) that owed way too much to The Jesus and Mary Chain. (J&MC were never one of my favourite bands.) But “Dominos,” their next single (already available for free download), changes the game, with its lazy, ready-for-remix groove and jump-on-board chorus. Falling like dominos for sure.
