Graduation day

Today’s the day Kanye West’s new CD, Graduation, gets its official release, and more reviews are starting to come in. Surprisingly, they’re good. The Globe gave it 3 stars. Four out of 5 from Now. And most impressive, the uber-hipsters at Pitchfork gave it an 8.7 rating out of 10, admitting that Kanye “might actually deserve the legendary status he constantly ascribes to himself.” They also write, and I completely agree, that Graduation “caps off an incredible (maybe even unprecedented) run: In terms of consistency, prolificness, and general all-around ability, it’s hard to find anyone in mainstream rap who can touch what he’s achieved within the same timeframe.”
