It’s out

It’s Christmas in July! The new Stars record came out today, months ahead of schedule. Maybe it’s a mistake, but when I checked the iTunes Store this morning, there it was. I downloaded it immediately before it gets taken down. (The Stars website still has Sept. 25 as the release date.) Yes, I actually paid for the album. But you can hear a couple of tracks below for free. I’ll post a more detailed review soon, but my first impression is that it’s closer in spirit to the Stars’ first two more mellow records rather than the barnburner that was 2004’s Set Yourself on Fire.
