I hate the Toronto Star. It stands in complete contrast to my beloved New York Times, a paper that has always given me the impression it’s run by people who think a lot and are very curious — in addition to being terrific journalists. The Star often strikes me as the opposite, which is unacceptable as our leading daily “paper of record.” Get a load of today’s front page reefer (pictured). I think even my four-year-old knows why ice cream is a summer favourite. P.S.: I’m quite aware I will never be hired at the Star.
